This figure which is called as Samarran, Sayer, Sambarun and also Samburon in different regions,concludes about 70-80% of palm trees crops is Khuzestan province.
It has a lot of commercial values and known as one of the significant export crops in this province.
The most important specification of this type is its semi-dryness, which increases its preservation, and make it the most suitable export in Iran.
Its fruit shape is oval and sometimes rectangular with an average weight of 8.31 grams,a medium texture (semi-arid) and pale yellow color which goes to brown and red when it is ripe.
The thickness of the skin in the Samarran is thick and somehow rough.
The proportion of flesh to the core is 6.71 and adhesion of the warhead and core to the fruit is less.
The eatable part of the fruit is sweet and somewhat tasteless (in the early stages of the ripening).
The ripe time would be on August but the harvest of the ripe fruit is at the beginning of September.
